About Patrick

Adept and avid in performing, educating, and arranging, Patrick Mooney is a fifth-year undergraduate student at the University of Northern Iowa studying instrumental music education and horn performance with Assistant Professor of Instruction in Horn, Dr. Maddy Tarantelli.

While at UNI, Patrick has performed with numerous ensembles, notably including the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra, UNI Wind Ensemble, Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, Calzone Wind Quintet, Biscotti Brass Quintet, Da Capo Wind Quintet, Calzone Wind Quartet, and UNI Horn Choir. Patrick also holds positions with the UNI Community Music School as Horn Teacher, where he enjoys teaching and collaborating with students and community members of diverse backgrounds.

Patrick’s goals include pursuing graduate studies in horn performance, continuing private teaching, ad diversifying the horn solo and chamber repertoire.
